Outwrite’s digital director Anthony Bullick missed out on a top business accolade at the Institute of Directors (IoD) Wales awards in Cardiff.

Anthony was shortlisted for young director of the year at the annual ceremony, which recognises the success and achievements of directors in Wales.

The awards, held at Cardiff’s SSE Swalec, also handed out gongs for categories including large business, social enterprise and overall director of the year.

Anthony was joined on the shortlist by three others under the age of 42, after becoming a director and shareholder in the PR agency last year. The digital expert and chartered PR practitioner originally joined Outwrite in a junior role in 2012.

He combines his role at Outwrite with active work in the PR industry as a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) North West committee, commentator in the Daily Post and Wales Business Insider, and speaker at events in Wales, Chester and Manchester.

Anthony said: “I’m disappointed to have gone home empty handed but it’s a big honour to be one of only four shortlisted for the prestigious award.

“It was a brilliant event and a good opportunity to meet other directors who are successfully growing their businesses.”

The event was the latest in a series of award shortlists for Outwrite in 2017. It was shortlisted for best integrated communications campaign at the PRmoment.com awards, and best B2B integrated comms campaign at the Prolific North awards in Manchester.

Outwrite’s clients include the Wales Air AmbulanceWynne Construction, Mold-based chemicals firm Synthite, and engineering, planning and environmental specialists Caulmert.

The PR and content marketing agency specialises in PRsocial media and SEO (search engine optimisation).
