Outwrite PR managing director Anthony Bullick discussed the value of PR and communications in building and protecting brand reputation on new podcast, The Bearded IFA Diaries.

Hosted by Celtic Financial Planning founder and managing director Rob Lewis, the interview explored what PR is, why creating a positive brand image is critical for businesses, and what factors can negatively influence public perception.

The discussion highlighted how identifying key stakeholders, understanding the channels they use, and recognising their wants and needs can help build meaningful relationships in today’s fragmented media landscape.

Anthony also highlighted outdated, sparse, or inaccurate online information as a growing reputational risk. As more people turn to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for research, many models rely on existing online content to generate responses, making accurate digital information more important than ever.

He said: “It was great to be part of the podcast and have the chance to showcase how PR is a boundary-spanning discipline, one that supports various departments by ensuring they have the right reputation to achieve their objectives.

“I enjoyed taking PR back to basics and discussing how it can help shape a brand’s narrative to build trust with its stakeholders.

“My key takeaway for businesses looking to improve or strengthen their reputation is to listen to your audiences and understand what matters most to them. A good PR strategy will naturally build on this knowledge.

“It was a brilliant discussion, and I’d love the opportunity to return and explore these topics in greater depth, as there is so much more to unpack about the role PR plays in supporting organisational success.”

The Bearded IFA Diaries host Rob was pleased to have Anthony impart knowledge from the Mold-based studio.

He said: “It was a great conversation packed with practical insights for anyone running a business, building a personal brand, or simply interested in how trust is earned and protected.”
