North Wales’ leading digital PR agency has been shortlisted for three awards – bringing its total of industry nominations so far in 2019 to seven.

Outwrite PR has won through to the finals in one category of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) North West PRide awards; and two categories in the UK-wide Creative Moment awards.

The nominations are for the agency’s work to raise the profile of British and Irish Eagles, a UK fan group for the National Football League’s (NFL) Philadelphia Eagles.

Outwrite’s campaign, called Fly, Eagles, Fly, has been shortlisted by the CIPR for best art, media, culture and sport campaign; and by Creative Moment in the best sport & sponsorship, and best use of audio (radio or podcast), categories.

The PR agency was engaged to boost the reputation of the fan club as part of its plans to introduce a paid membership scheme and become a leading UK brand for Philadelphia Eagles fans.

Outwrite’s creativity in spotting opportunities to generate interesting content in real-time, plus digital skills to reach the right audiences, ensured a ten-fold increase in website visits and improved social media and podcast audience statistics.  In addition, the group exceeded its target for membership sales.

And Anthony Bullick, managing director of Outwrite, believes the team’s ability to deliver results against the clock-time helped the campaign stand out.

He said: “We secured a live interview of the British Eagles’ founder on Fox 29 Philadelphia TV, behind-the-scenes access to the official pep rally, and Eagles legend Brent Celek featuring in the group’s social media content.

“Our work in London followed the creation of a podcast for British Eagles, which featured interviews with NFL journalists, members of the current Eagles roster, and Philadelphia Eagles’ senior vice president of marketing and media Jennifer Kavanagh.

“We enter awards to benchmark our work against our peers, and to be shortlisted for seven already in 2019 is incredible. The CIPR PRide awards are considered the top tier of regional awards in the industry, and the Creative Moment Awards recognise UK-wide campaigns. To be up in both is testament to the work the team carries out.”

At the outset of the campaign, in 2018, Outwrite liaised with BBC Radio Five Live and Eurosport to set up interviews with a fan club member who flew to Minnesota to watch the Eagles defeat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

In 2019, Outwrite has been shortlisted at the PRmoment.com awards (best sport campaign), the UK Content Awards (best mobile content campaign), and the Public Relations Communications Association (PRCA) awards (best digital and social media campaign and best low budget campaign).

Outwrite’s clients include Active Cheshire, UK-wide engineering, environmental, and planning consultancy Caulmert, Cheshire law firm Watsons Solicitors, and Ruthin-based Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK.

The agency specialises in integrated PR and SEO (search engine optimisation), crisis PR, and social media training.
