Outwrite PR’s managing director Tracy North will be telling her story and inspiring students at a university’s employability conference.
Tracy, who founded the PR agency, has been invited to speak at the University of Chester’s Business School Student Employability Conference on 9 February.
The event is aimed at first year pupils and encourages them to start thinking about what careers they may wish to go into, as well as what skills they will need to develop.
She will discuss her career path including how the journey started, challenges encountered and the skills used to overcome them, and tips for the students for getting on the career ladder.
Tracy, a third generation journalist who set up Outwrite Public Relations Ltd in 1994, will also take her place on a panel of other speakers from within the marketing, tourism, and events management industries answering questions and providing further insight.
The conference takes place at 1pm at the university’s new Queen’s Park Campus in Handbridge, Chester.
Tracy said: “As a student I had very little guidance or opportunities to discuss my career development with actual businesspeople.
“This is a fantastic chance for me to provide the students at the University of Chester with an insight into what employers are looking for, and how they can be prepared for kick-starting a career after their studies.”
