Wrexham-based logistics firm Ningbo Palletised Distribution was the subject of a UK-wide news feature when it appeared on ITV’s News at Ten with help from Outwrite PR.

ITV presenter Jonathan Hill visited the firm to discuss the pending 2017 general election and the effects of Brexit with the Ningbo team.

The opportunity came on the back of Outwrite securing prominent local and regional print and online coverage for the company, as well as a spot on ITV Wales’ 6pm news programme.

This ITV Wales coverage then led to an enquiry from the network about the possibility of interviewing Ningbo for the coveted News at Ten programme, which is broadcast each evening.

The ITV News at Ten feature aired on Friday 2 June to an average audience of two million – take a look at the full clip here.

Digital director Anthony Bullick said: “We have enjoyed our relationship with Ningbo and we have worked together to secure some fantastic coverage.

“This local and regional coverage built the foundations to open the door for ITV Wales and then ITV News at Ten.

“Chris and his team were fantastic in front of camera and the ITV team got what they were looking for, so it was brilliant result all round”.

For the ITV Wales News at Six programme, ITV Wales business correspondent Carole Green talked with driver Darren Fox about the swing constituency of Wrexham, as well as Chris about the impact on business.
