Two of the Outwrite PR team were given a master class in PR evaluation at a Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) event in Manchester.

Anthony Bullick and Will Catterall attended the seminar, held at the Manchester Metropolitan University’s Business School, which also discussed using visuals to secure coverage.

Giving the talks were Neomam founder Danny Ashton and’s Stella Bayles.

Stella explained how her online tool Coverage Books measures the reach and value of PR coverage and shared her view on how PR agencies in Chester, North Wales, Manchester and Liverpool must measure their results to produce reliable statistics.

The evening concluded with a Q and A session where Outwrite quizzed the speakers along with other PR professionals from the north west.

Following the session, Outwrite director and CIPR north west committee member Anthony said: “The seminar was really useful and the perfect opportunity to speak with leading figures in the industry.

“Evaluating PR results is really important for agencies and clients alike, as it helps aid understanding of the real value of campaigns.

“It’s good to know that everyone is working together to ensure the impact of PR is communicated to clients.

“CIPR events are always brilliant to attend and I’d advise anyone in the PR industry to not only join the CIPR but get involved by booking on to seminars.”

The event was worth five CPD points for members. Check out Will’s story about his first 12 months as a CIPR member and securing his first year of 60 points here.
