Members of the Outwrite PR team have been busy sharpening their skills and enhancing their knowledge base by undertaking a variety of accredited learning opportunities.

Managing director Anthony Bullick, news and content manager Tom Norris, and account executive Sophia Thomas all completed the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ (CIPR) annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.

From attending webinars to reading information on topics such as PR ethics and interviewing tips, Sophia has praised Outwrite for supporting her career progression.

Having joined the agency last summer, the 24-year-old has now concluded her first 12-month cycle of the CIPR’s CPD by logging 60 points worth of activities.

Speaking about her experience, Sophia said: “The programme has offered me invaluable insight into the future of the industry through learning about developments such as AI and the implications such technology will have on us as PR practitioners.

“There is a great selection of resources available and I’m thankful that Outwrite offers us the flexibility to choose what skillsets to strengthen.”

News and content manager Tom, who finished his third consecutive year of CPD with the company, echoed his colleague’s words.

He said: “The database offers such a wide array of resources to choose from and has proved itself to be a useful tool in keeping me updated on the latest developments and issues within the sector.”

The agency emphasises the importance of the membership by monitoring staff’s progress during 1-2-1 meetings and allowing individuals time to undertake training during office hours.

Alongside learning from its 1,800 activities, CIPR CPD members can also log points through external tasks and events that showcase how they have enhanced their professional skillset.

Chartered practitioner Anthony Bullick, who completed his 13th consecutive cycle, said: “We are proactive about developing our knowledge base and skills so we can stay ahead in the fast-paced PR landscape.

“I believe there is always more to learn, regardless of what stage of your career you are at, so by making learning as accessible as possible, I’m confident our staff will continue to engage with the CIPR CPD and apply what they have learnt across client work.”

Outwrite’s clients include construction firm Wynne ConstructionJones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors, and Xplore! Science Discovery Centre.
