A PR and online marketing agency is donating the funds it usually spends on Christmas cards to a North Wales charity.

Outwrite will be spreading seasonal good will via email and social media this year after donating its festive greetings card budget to the Domestic Abuse Support Unit.

The DASU, the charity of the year 2013/14 for Outwrite, offers help and advice to people experiencing domestic abuse from across North Wales.

The Mold-based search engine optimisation specialist is urging other businesses to follow suit by sending Christmas greetings online and donating to a good cause.

Outwrite managing director Tracy North said: “Instead of a card, our contacts will receive a seasonal email or a tinsel-clad tweet.

“Although we all look forward to receiving cards, we felt that making a donation to the DASU was a great way to make a small difference at this time of year.

“Giving to those that deserve it is what Christmas is all about, and we encourage everyone else to donate to good causes like the DASU as well.”

The DASU is a specialist, not-for-profit organisation that provides information, holistic support and advice to survivors of domestic abuse. For more information, visit www.domesticabusesafetyunit.net, or call 01244 830436.
