We at Outwrite are busy gearing up for our hike up Snowdon to raise funds for charity.

We asked our newsletter readers to help pick our charity of choice for 2013 and, after a terrific response, we have selected the Flintshire-based Domestic Abuse Safety Unit (DASU).

DASU provides professional coordinated interventions to people experiencing domestic abuse across Flintshire, to maximise their safety and the safety of their families.

Support provided by DASU includes:

  • 24 hour direct access to refuge accommodation for women and their children
  • Information, support and practical help to any victim/survivor of domestic abuse
  • Encourage survivors to make their own decisions and to determine their own futures

As a company, Outwrite has also worked in partnership with several charitable organisations as we are passionate about corporate social responsibility and helping to improve the lives of people in the region in which we live and work.

Over the coming weeks we will reveal more about our fund-raising plans as we aim to get in shape for our high peak challenge.
