Outwrite has been appointed to carry out PR for R Plevin & Sons, one of the UK’s leading wood processing and recycling companies.
We will be carrying out communications to support the company’s expansion plans. These include a proposal to build a carbon neutral combined heat and power (CHP) plant fuelled by waste wood that would otherwise go to landfill.

Plevin employs 150 people across sites in Greater Manchester, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, South Wales, Norfolk and Gloucestershire. The firm sources waste wood from local authority civic amenity sites, skip hire firms, pallet manufacturers and joinery workshops. It supplies recycled wood materials to the panel board industry and biomass power plants, as well as animal bedding for major supermarkets and pet product wholesalers.
