A Mold-based PR consultancy has created a new position to strengthen its high standards of content across its integrated campaigns.

Outwrite PR’s Tom Norris has been promoted to news and content manager to ensure the agency continues to identify strong stories which meet client objectives.

Joining the award-winning company in December 2021 as an account executive, the former journalist has risen through the ranks and will now lead the firm’s copy and visual outputs for brands.

The promotion follows his proven success delivering key messages to local, regional and national stakeholders across a range of channels, from social media and media relations to long-form content including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reports.

With more than a decade of experience as a journalist at the Wrexham and Flintshire Leader, Tom’s new role also reflects Outwrite’s encouragement of staff to tailor their professional development to their own interests in the PR industry.

Tom said: “Working at an agency which puts an emphasis on career progression is incredibly motivating, especially as I’ve been supported to grow into a role which suits my skillset.

“The new position will mean I can align my time in the newsroom with my passion for telling clients’ positive stories, so I can’t wait to get started.”

With Outwrite securing five industry awards and being nominated for a further 15 since the start of 2022, managing director Anthony Bullick believes the role will bolster the business’ achievements.

He said: “Tom’s dedication and ability to identify the strongest and most impactful stories while meeting objectives is critical, with a huge portion of our work involving content writing and building relationships with the media.

“Alongside fostering new talent for growth, we empower staff in their development through having an open dialogue about what they want from their career, with internal promotion as our favoured option when it comes to agency progression.

“Tom’s extensive experience has seen him excel in PR during his time at Outwrite and means he’s perfectly placed to ensure we maintain our high news standards, so I am confident he will thrive in the new position.”

Outwrite’s clients include construction firm Wynne ConstructionJones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors, and mechanical and electrical (M+E) contractor Ash Integrated Services.
