Philadelphia Eagles supporter Anthony Bullick was interviewed by the BBC at the news broadcaster’s studio in MediaCity, Salford, for its Super Bowl LIX preview programme.

Anthony, who has been called on by the UK media previously to discuss the NFL season finale, attended as a guest on the BBC show to talk about key players and reveal what an Eagles victory would mean to him.

Hosted by BBC Sports presenter Hugh Ferris, the 42-minute programme dedicated time to showcase a conversation between Outwrite PR managing director, Anthony, and a rival Kansas City Chiefs follower.

Alongside fan discussions, the pre-game broadcast featured expert commentary from sports correspondent Nesta McGregor and Super Bowl LI winner Martellus Bennett, shedding light on the popularity of the championship.

“Working within a sports PR agency, it was a great opportunity to talk about a topic I’m passionate about from both a professional and personal standpoint,” said Anthony.

“Being on camera was also an exciting experience for me as although I’ve been on live broadcast before, the set-up for this programme was more of a panel discussion,” he added.

Having taken place at the Caesars Superdome, New Orleans, the Super Bowl LIX saw around 127.7 million viewers tune in to the Sunday game,

Speaking about the match, Anthony said: “The scale of the Super Bowl is huge, so I’m glad I was able to provide the media with a UK fan perspective and build upon our close working relationship with the BBC.

“As for who won, I’m glad to see my prediction that the Eagles will beat the Chiefs came true and that the team’s hard work paid off.”

Anthony has also featured on other TV programmes to discuss the Super Bowl including Fox 29 News Philadelphia, BBC Radio 5, and BBC News Live.
