An award-winning PR agency will be sharing its best practices on how organisations can maximise environmental, social, and governance (ESG) activity as part of an industry discussion.
Outwrite PR managing director Anthony Bullick is set to talk as part of an upcoming webinar titled, ‘Getting to Grips with ESG’, hosted by the Chartered Institution of Public Relations (CIPR) Cymru committee.
The online event, taking place on 8 June, will detail what is required of PR professionals when communicating an organisation’s goals beyond profit with the aim of preparing practitioners to lead on these conversations.
Wrexham-based outsourced communications provider Moneypenny’s ESG coordinator Sophie Hughes-Saunier will also be sharing what is involved in the decision-making process and how communications fits in when planning initiatives.
There will also be a Q&A with the full panel as well to close the session.
Anthony said: “As an agency, we are continually pushing to further our knowledge in this field to help clients stay ahead of the curve, so it’s fantastic to have been asked to take part and share our insight.
“This will be an opportunity for attendees to see how PR aligns with this increasingly hot topic and exchange experiences, particularly as practitioners from across the globe can tune in and hear from two North Wales businesses.
“Hearing from Sophie will bring a different perspective as to what is required from PR when crafting a sustainability strategy, offering a refreshing insight for professionals looking to dive into this exciting field.”
The agency, which was shortlisted for small consultancy of the year at the 2023 PRmoment ESG awards, works with clients across the renewables sector in addition to producing social value and ESG reports.
Anthony also spoke at this year’s third Net Zero North Wales event, providing guidance to the region’s businesses on how to communicate environmental commitments effectively to stakeholders and avoid greenwashing.
He added; “The CIPR is a great resource for providing training opportunities to get these important conversations started and strengthen knowledge throughout the industry.
“A huge thank you to co-chair of CIPR Cymru Gareth Watson and the rest of the committee for organising this event.”
Outwrite’s clients include construction firm Wynne Construction, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK and North Wales-based engineering, environmental and planning consultancy Caulmert.
The agency specialises in integrated PR and communications, crisis PR, and online reputation management.
The online event will take place on Thursday 8 June 9:30-10:30 am.
