If you’ve ever called the Outwrite offices, there’s a good chance you’ve spoken to our administrator, Jill Lloyd.
Initially joining us on a 10-month maternity contract, Jill was offered a permanent place as we didn’t want her to leave!
Jill brought 20 years’ experience in finance with her and is the glue of Outwrite, as well as doubling up as a maintenance manager whenever a light bulb needs changing or radiator bled!
Another crucial aspect of Jill’s role is the snack bowl. Each week she provides the goods, surprising us each time with new treats spanning the unhealthy and healthy spectrum.
Jill said: “I assist with office life; setting up meetings, issuing invoices and getting to know the business and its clients.
“The role develops in different directions as each month passes, whether it’s advertising for a vacant office (editor’s note: still vacant if anyone’s wondering) or taking down initial details for new business enquiries.
“Outwrite has a great deal of structure and uses similar disciplines in terms of planning and communication to that of the banking world, which is where I’ve spent most of my working life.
“No two days are the same. There’s always something interesting going on with either current or potential clients. We’re a busy team and we like being kept on our toes.”
Jill lives on her husband’s family farm near the village of Llanarmon yn Iâl and in her spare time takes part in her community choir, Cor Dewi Sant. She reminds us every time we sing happy birthday that we need to work on our singing.
Jill added: “A few of my fond memories at Outwrite are beating Anthony at our Christmas air rifle challenge and receiving the Burglar Bill book for my birthday, as I always wear stripes.
“I also enjoyed setting up our 25th anniversary event, which was a PR and marketing event for charities. It was great to meet people from different organisations on the day.
“I’m looking forward to being more involved in gaining new future business leads from the outset. This will allow me to see how the team put together their bespoke proposals to clients.
“Further opportunities to develop are always on the horizon!”
