A sustainability-focused PR agency has thrown its support behind an online event, hosted by a prestigious industry body.
Outwrite PR is sponsoring the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) North West’s lunch and learn session, titled: How Comms Can Help Build Sustainable Organisations.
The virtual event, free to attend for CIPR members, will see a panel of experts paint a picture of the roles they have played in building sustainable organisations, as well as share the challenges and opportunities for communications teams.
PR professionals are key to a brand’s success when it comes to embracing sustainability – providing ethical and strategic counsel; managing stakeholder relationships; assessing and handling reputational risk; and engaging colleagues.
Speakers include:
- Hil Berg, strategy lead at M&C Saatchi LIFE and previously head of sustainability at Iceland Foods
- Gudrun Cartwright, climate action director at Business in the Community
- Mark Flannagan, director of marketing and communications at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust
Outwrite PR account manager Evie Shaw said: “Communications is integral for every brand and organisation and even more so when we consider how urgent the concept of sustainability is.
“The Outwrite team is looking forward to hearing from such influential speakers in the field and to further expand its own green PR knowledge.
“This lunch and learn session ties in perfectly with our area of expertise, so we’re thrilled to be the sponsor.”
The event is on Wednesday 19 October between 1.15pm and 2pm.
