Businesses from across the UK have been equipped to communicate their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) activities effectively thanks to a Mold-based PR agency.

With increased stakeholder pressure for brands to demonstrate value beyond profit, Outwrite PR invited organisations across sectors to learn more about sharing ESG commitments clearly and transparently.

The award-winning agency has seen a growing trend between communicating these credentials effectively and company performance and wants to encourage firms to familiarise themselves with the latest knowledge to avoid reputational damage.

The seminar included insight on net zero, social value, greenwashing, and creating an impactful ESG report, and saw representatives from multi-national firms to local SMEs attend, including international wet-wipe manufacturer Nice-Pak and Welsh housing association Adra.

Outwrite’s managing director Anthony Bullick has already delivered talks on the topic at business events in the region, including Net Zero North Wales, and will speak at the upcoming Confederation of British Industry (CBI) national webinar on sustainability communications.

He said: “Organisations are increasingly expected to prove how they are doing good for people and the environment, and from supporting clients to navigate these spaces, we’ve found plenty of positive work is already being done.

“This seminar aimed to help attendees practically implement ways to clearly share their activities with key audiences, and it was refreshing to see such a passion in the room for learning more about this agenda.”

Outwrite has created a range of industry resources surrounding the topic, including a step-by-step guide to produce an ESG report and an e-book which provides guidance from PR and marketing professionals across the UK.

Anthony added: “Public relations is intrinsically linked with ESG activity, as clients, employees, politicians, and investors want to see what businesses are doing to contribute responsibly in their communities.

“These aspects are constantly evolving so it was great to see a clear appetite from a range of sectors to be involved in these important conversations, and we hope they continue to take place.”

Outwrite’s clients include construction firm Wynne ConstructionJones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors, and Xplore! Science Discovery Centre.

The agency specialises in integrated PRcrisis PR and online reputation management.
