A Mold-based PR consultancy has been nominated for two industry awards, including a shortlist for its role in a UK-wide sports sponsorship activation campaign.
Outwrite PR has been shortlisted for the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Cymru Wales award for low budget campaign of the year for its work with rural broadband provider Voneus.
The low budget award is presented to a PR campaign proven to deliver impactful results on a budget of less than £10,000.
Voneus, the headline sponsor of the UK’s largest knockout cricketing event, the Voneus Village Cup, engaged Outwrite to assist with brand awareness and strategic consultancy during the competition.
Work included sharing community-led local and regional stories to engage audiences on a national level, drive attendance to the final, and secure post-match coverage.
The agency is also in the running to complete a hattrick of wins for small PR consultancy, following wins in the same category at the 2021 and 2022 awards.
Winners will be announced in Cardiff on 22 June.
Outwrite’s managing director Anthony Bullick said: “This was our second year assisting with Voneus’ sponsorship of the cup and it has been fantastic to receive recognition for the campaign’s success.
“We saw 370 sides taking part in 2023, the highest number in more than a decade, reflecting the importance of the impactful and creative communications to engage with the right audiences during the 2022 cup, while at the same time, highlighting Voneus’ key messages.”
The coverage secured a combined reach of 7.3 million across 16 counties, coverage on ‘Tailenders’, a BBC podcast dedicated to cricket, and 46 pieces in areas where Voneus is currently providing network builds.
The nomination for small PR consultancy is one of eight industry awards Outwrite has won or been shortlisted for across the past 12 months, including winning best small PR agency at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Cymru Wales awards.
Anthony added: “Recognition from a prestigious industry body like the PRCA is an achievement in itself, particularly when it highlights the success of our agency as a whole and the impact of the work we deliver.
“It is a testament to the Outwrite team’s dedication, and we look forward to finding out the results!”
Outwrite’s clients include construction firm Wynne Construction, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors, and mechanical and electrical (M+E) contractor Ash Integrated Services.
The agency specialises in integrated PR, crisis PR and online reputation management.
