At Outwrite, our line of work means that we get to collaborate with talented, creative and dedicated individuals. We have partnered with some for a long period of time and experienced big successes.
In the first of a series of blog posts looking at some of our extended family, we shine the spotlight on videographer Roy Parkinson.
Roy works with us on broadcast media training, as well as producing corporate videos. He is a highly experienced film maker and editor who trained with Granada Television, specialising in documentaries.
In the broadcast world, his work has resulted in a high level of engagement with one programme receiving a staggering 18 pages of positive feedback on a forum in response to one negative comment.
His broadcast journalism experience gives our clients an extra dimension in their media training. He is able to provide them with feedback and advice stemming from his history of working with the likes of BBC 1 and 2, ITV, S4C, Channel 4, Sky and Fox. This ensures they are ready for that all-important interview.
Roy has worked on films that have won awards all over the world, including six best film awards and numerous BAFTA Wales awards. His work has also been shortlisted for the prestigious Grierson Documentary Award.
With video content a vital element of an SEO (search engine optimisation) campaign, Roy is also adept at producing website-friendly videos.
As well as his television work, Roy has worked for some big name brands such as Coca Cola, Microsoft, Ford and Siemens on everything from cinema adverts and training films to high-end corporate promos. He also has experience of working for smaller clients and maximising every penny to its full on-screen potential.
