An award-winning digital PR agency has welcomed a new member to the team after a continuous period of new client wins.

Mold-based Outwrite PR has appointed Alexia Jones, 21, as the agency’s newest account executive.

Alexia joins the firm after graduating from Newcastle University with a First Class Honours degree in media and communications.

Throughout her studies, Alexia developed a strong knowledge and experience in PR practice, completing various placements with digital PR agencies.

Her dissertation on sustainable tourism practices obtained her a high first-class mark and during her time at university she also wrote for the Newcastle Tab, a regional student news site.

In addition, she also volunteers with a US-based grassroots organisation for menstrual equality to provide support in the field of social media activism.

Alexia said: “I am so pleased to be entering the industry at an agency which puts significant emphasis on my own personal development as a PR practitioner.

“I was drawn to Outwrite’s continued focus on the renewable energy sector and extensive experience in Green PR as it paralleled so well with my own studies at university.

“I’m looking forward to merging that knowledge and further developing my skills in those sectors, and the backing given by Outwrite to encourage me along that path means I can continue to learn new skills while working.”

Alexia joins Outwrite as the firm continues to win contracts with new clients and consolidate and retain current services.

The agency’s work over the course of the pandemic has also been recognised by the industry, claiming the small PR consultancy of the year at the 2021 Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Cymru Wales Dare Awards.

Managing director of Outwrite PR Anthony Bullick said: “Alexia will bring an exciting and fresh perspective to the team at Outwrite and I’m thrilled to have her on board.

“Her clear passion and proven experience in journalism and social media management makes her a perfect fit for what we are building here.

“Your people are your most important asset in the world of PR and it is vital to recruit people who want to be in PR, have a genuine love for the practice, and have the core key skills required; Alexia checks all those boxes.”

Outwrite’s clients include housing association Grŵp Cynefin, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, and specialist residential care provider Meddyg Care.

The agency specialises in integrated PR and SEO (search engine optimisation), crisis PR, online reputation management and social media training.
