There are some very interesting stats to consider when analysing your customers’ buying behaviours.

Firstly, 60% of consumers, including in the business-to-business world, conduct research online before making a buying decision. This should make you evaluate your online presence immediately.

An online presence covers a multitude of platforms; the website being the most important.

So, you have your website looking professional, engaging and it’s user friendly. That’s great, but if it’s hidden away it doesn’t matter how polished and sexy it looks, because no one will find it.

Consider this: 75% of users don’t click onto the second page of search results. And when on the first page, users click the first result 35% of the time. It will come as no surprise that this percentage decreases the further down the page you go. The second result is clicked by  12% of users, 9% click on the third result and just 2% click the 10th and final result on page one.

Where does your company’s website sit in Google for key search phrases that your potential customers and clients use?  And where do your competitors’ sites rank? If they are above you in the search results, chances are they will get clicked and you won’t.

The beauty of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is that you can work on moving up the rankings with a well thought out and effective strategy. If you want your customers to find you, and not a competitors’ site, it’s time for an online review.
