Outwrite’s PR and social media specialist Anthony Bullick has landed his “dream role” at this year’s Rugby League World Cup.
Anthony, 28, has secured a voluntary position as a social media journalist and will be providing updates on match days to millions of fans across the world.
He has been chosen for two quarter-final matches, as well as a group stage game at the tournament, which kicks off on Saturday 26 October.
He said: “I have volunteered at Nottingham Outlaws Rugby League Club for a few years, helping out with the club’s PR and social media. It’s an unbelievable opportunity to be a part of the Rugby League World Cup.
“It’s fantastic to know that people from all over the world will be following my live updates on the games.
“This really is a dream role for me.”
On match days, Anthony will be responsible for updating live communication channels including Twitter, Facebook and the live match blogs.
He will also monitor online conversations and identify and manage any issues.
His first action as a volunteer sees him based at the Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium on Sunday 3 November as Wales take on USA.
He will be back providing social media updates in Wrexham on Saturday 16 November in a quarter-final that could see England and Wales do battle.
The following day, Sunday 17 November, Anthony will be at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, for the tournament’s last quarter-final game.
