A North Wales-based PR and communications agency is supporting this year’s Celtic Charity Ball as the media and comms partner.

The event is organised by Celtic Financial Planning, with the evening set to raise much-needed funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and North East Wales Mind.

The ball takes place on 19 June at St David’s Hotel, Ewloe, with special guests including former rugby union winger Shane Williams MBE and iconic referee Nigel Owens MBE, as well as host and ex-rugby union star Rupert Moon.

Outwrite PR has stepped up to write and produce the event programme, as well as provide post-event media relations to tell the story of the impact of the money raised.

Based in Mold alongside Celtic Financial Planning, the agency is no stranger to supporting charitable causes, hosting free marketing conferences for third-sector organisations and equipping them with the skills needed to reach their audiences.

Rob Lewis, the founder of Celtic Financial Planning, an organisation whose social and environmental commitments have secured B Corp status, said: “After the huge success of the last Celtic Charity Ball, we wanted to build on that and make it bigger and better.

“With a star-studded line-up, the evening promises to be full of fun and generosity, reflected in the demand for tickets, spotlighting the strength of the local community here in North Wales.

“It is great to have Outwrite on board, assisting with putting the programme together, helping tell the story of the night and the impact it will have on charities operating on the front line of mental and physical health.”

This is the second instalment of the Celtic Charity Ball, with the inaugural event in 2024 being a huge success, raising almost £5,000 for Hope House.

Celtic Financial Planning has also set the standard for corporate sustainability by being entirely carbon neutral through partnering with Gold Standard and purchasing carbon credits that support carbon offsetting initiatives worldwide.

Managing director of Outwrite PR, Anthony Bullick, said: “It was fantastic to hear that Celtic Financial Planning was returning with another charity ball this year.

“At Outwrite, we were quick to book a table for the event, so being involved in the marketing and comms is an added bonus for us.

“As a local business, the evening will highlight just how amazing this community is, and supporting the ball is something the agency is incredibly proud of.”

Outwrite’s clients include Wynne Construction, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK, Warrington-based Watsons Solicitors, and engineering, environmental, and planning consultancy Caulmert.

The agency specialises in integrated PR, stakeholder communications, crisis PR, and online reputation management.
