A Mold-based PR agency is celebrating after it won two awards at the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) Cymru awards.

Outwrite PR won small PR consultancy of the year for the second year in a row and account manager Cal Behrendt was named PRCA Cymru’s rising star of the year, which acknowledges practitioners under the age of 30 for outstanding performance early in their career.

The PRCA awards, designed to celebrate the best PR and communications professionals across the UK, are judged by a panel of respected industry experts.

Cal said: “Winning this award wouldn’t have been possible without the whole Outwrite team. My colleagues have been brilliant, and I have learnt a lot from them.

“I’m also grateful to Anthony, our MD, for the level of support I’ve received from him and for putting me forward for the award in the first place.

“Since joining Outwrite in April 2021, I’ve been able to develop my expertise in a working environment where I feel valued and comfortable to be myself.

“Ultimately, I feel winning rising star is all down to the strong team we have here at Outwrite.”

After the 2021 awards took place virtually, this year the North Wales PR agency could enjoy accepting its awards in person at Voco St David’s in Cardiff.

Outwrite’s managing director, Anthony Bullick, added: “We have an amazing team and winning small PR consultancy of the year just further demonstrates that.

“The value of each individual creates the foundation of the agency, as well as our collaborative environment and how we work hard to deliver on our ideas as a team.

“Winning small PR consultancy of the year for the second year running is a fantastic outcome and Cal being awarded rising star of the year just further showcases the expertise of our people at Outwrite.

“We’re looking forward to seeing what the team achieves next.”
