Overview
Flintshire County Council (FCC) engaged Outwrite to undertake a promotional campaign that raised awareness and told the positive stories of the vast array of high-quality businesses and attractions that the county has to offer. Key focus areas to achieve these objectives were:
- Food and drink
- Heritage and culture
- Adventure/great outdoors/wild Wales
- Accommodation
Objectives and planning
As part of the competitive tender process, we were provided full creative freedom to develop ideas. Our initial proposal was signed off without amendments. A creative, bilingual, and integrated PR strategy ensured we told the strongest stories in an engaging way across multiple platforms to build awareness and trust simultaneously, while reaching as wide an audience as possible.

Key outcomes
Against the main objective of increasing spend: economic stats for the period covering our campaign will be released in summer 2022. Anecdotal feedback from organisations is very positive with regards to footfall and spend during and after the campaign. In addition, our work has provided FCC with a base to build further communication and marketing off, for example with the bigger and more engaged social following and to release further podcast episodes.
