An award-winning PR agency has produced a dedicated resource to help organisations bring environmental, social, and governance (ESG), activity to the centre of communication strategies.

With stakeholders increasingly interested in a company’s impact beyond profit, Outwrite PR has created the publication, available both in print and online, to share expertise and empower organisations to drive these commitments.

The newsletter features best practices in sustainability, social value, and good governance by drawing on the agency’s client work, internal company news, and thought leadership surrounding effectively and transparently communicating ESG activity.

It additionally signposts readers to further resources including the agency’s free guide to create an ESG report, and an e-book which gathers a range of PR professionals’ thoughts on how ESG has impacted their roles.

The document, which is printed on 100 per cent recycled stock, builds on Outwrite’s focus to place ESG at the centre of its organisational goals, which has included hosting a PR and marketing conference to support charities and featuring in key publications for ESG guidance.

Outwrite managing director Anthony Bullick said: “It’s been brilliant to share our range of experience and encourage more involvement in this area.

To reflect the social strand of ESG, the newsletter detailed the value of producing an impact report for key Wrexham visitor attraction Xplore! Science Discovery Centre.

Xplore! business development officer Katie Williams said: “Outwrite helped us create a combination of images, key stats, and compelling stories to share our centre activity with investors and wider stakeholders.

“Its ESG print newsletter will hopefully spread knowledge on the power of PR to express how a business is involved in the communities it operates in through engaging and clear communication.”

The newsletter was first handed out while Outwrite exhibited at North Wales Mersey Dee Business Council’s Net Zero North Wales quarterly networking event, which connects businesses in the region to further the climate change agenda.

In 2022, Outwrite was nominated for consultancy of the year at the PR Moment ESG Awards, in addition to being named small PR agency of the year at the PRCA Cymru Wales Dare and the CIPR Cymru Wales PRide awards.
