The Wales Air Ambulance held its annual North Wales fundraiser ball earlier this month, sponsored by Outwrite.
Members of the Outwrite team and guests dressed the part at the Great Gatsby-themed event, held at St David’s Park Hotel, Ewloe.
A raffle and auction on the night helped raise more than £2,000 for the charity, with lucky winners going home with prizes including flying experiences, a weekend break and a signed Wales football shirt.
Outwrite’s managing director Tracy North said: “The evening was fantastic and it was good to see everyone get in the ‘Great Gatsby’ spirit.
“Attendees were well entertained with a live singer, and everyone showed their full support for Wales Air Ambulance.
“It was a wonderful opportunity to have some fun and raise money for a great cause.”
Organiser Debra Sima said: “The feedback from the Great Gatsby Ball has been fabulous.
“The event raised more than £2,000, which will help to keep our helicopters flying in Wales”.
Wales Air Ambulance is an all-Wales charity providing vital emergency air cover for those who face life-threatening illness or injuries. It has carried out more than 22,000 missions to date since its launch on St David’s Day 2001.
From its airbases in Caernarfon, Swansea, and Welshpool, an air ambulance can be anywhere in Wales within 20 minutes of receiving an emergency call.
The charity needs to raise more than £6 million each year to keep the aircraft flying, and does not qualify for lottery or government funding.
