A Wales PR agency’s annual free marketing and communications conference for charities has been hailed a success after returning to a face-to-face event.
Mold-based Outwrite PR welcomed speakers from organisations including Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and the Lake District National Park Foundation to deliver talks.
Attendees from North Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside also heard from Groundwork North Wales, West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance, and Denbighshire Leisure at the conference held at Wrexham Glyndŵr University.
A panel event at the end of the day allowed guests to ask tailored questions and share sector-related challenges they face.
Topics on the day included internal communications, social media, storytelling through case studies, and securing media coverage as editorial.
In addition, with the PR industry often cited as one of the most stressful to work in, Outwrite built in health and wellbeing sessions throughout, including a 30-minute pilates at work session.
Anthony Bullick, managing director of Outwrite PR, named small PR agency of the year in Wales by industry bodies the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and the Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA), was thrilled with the feedback.
He said: “We launched the conference in 2019 as a way to give back and empower those in the third sector to improve their marketing and communications activity. The comments after each event really highlight the difference it makes.
“While it’s the Outwrite team that organise it, it’s the speakers who provide the real value sharing their experiences and tips and advice.
“The amount of knowledge and expertise on show was incredible.”
This year’s conference also had a section on ESG (environmental, social, and governance), with Xplore! Science Discovery Centre’s impact statement used as a shining light for how organisations can share their updates.
