Osian said: “I was honoured to be nominated and even more honoured to make it to the top three. I have to congratulate Chris Stephenson who won the category over-all on the sterling work he is doing for his organisation.”

Ruthin-based Jones Bros has seen significant growth in recent years. Over the last decade its turnover has increased from £12m in 2000 to £38m in 2008-09.

Jones Bros is currently working on about 20 contracts around the UK.

The North West Finance Director Awards were established in 2009 by financial recruitment firm Sharp Consultancy with support from Barclays Commercial Bank, Grant Thornton and Halliwells.

This year’s event, which took place in February, attracted 170 guests.

The judging panel included James Cliffe from Barclays, David Grundy from Grant Thornton, Mark Halliwell from Halliwells and Chris Sharp from Sharp Consultancy and they will be joined by last year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, former finance director and CEO of Speedy Hire PLC, John Brown.
