Seddon announces new Sandbach housing development

Seddon Homes unveils its plans for an exciting new development on a prime town centre site in Sandbach.

Seddon Homes has announced the launch of a new homes development on a prime town centre site in Sandbach.

The Hop Yard, on Chapel Street, will comprise 41 homes just two minutes’ walk from the historic town’s central shopping and other amenities.

The launch is the first of a number of new developments the company expects to announce during early 2010.

The Hop Yard will comprise a mix of two, three and four bedroom properties, most of which will be semi-detached. All will include high quality contemporary kitchens with inset lighting, Karndean flooring, a fridge-freezer, oven and hob with chimney hood as standard.

Seddon Homes sales and marketing director, Denis Maddock, said: “The Hop Yard is a rare development in this day and age, as it comprises newly built houses close to a town centre.

“Usually, new homes can only be found some way out of town, and cannot compete with the advantages of easy accessibility to local facilities that this offers. Therefore, we’re expecting strong early demand for these properties.”

Sandbach is ‘home’ territory for the company, which had its headquarters for many years in Hope Street, before relocation to larger premises in Warrington. Seddon Homes’ parent company, Seddon Group, is headquartered in nearby Holmes Chapel.

The development has been named The Hop Yard as it is believed to be on the site of a former barrel-making factory. Ground works have just started, construction will begin within the next few weeks and the first properties are due for completion by mid 2010.

However, Seddon is offering home-seekers the chance to buy off-plan from January.

Denis added: “This is a great opportunity for potential buyers who have not yet sold their own property.

“We can arrange independent professional advice for potential buyers and we will pay their fees.”

A new fully-styled marketing suite, including a full-size kitchen layout, will be open for viewing from January 9, above Red Dot estate agents, 2 Hightown, Sandbach.

Prices are expected to be from £140,000.
