Outwrite is recruiting for a PR Account Support Executive

Following recent new business gains, we have a vacancy for a newly created position, to provide junior PR executive functions alongside some admin support functions for Outwrite internally.

We are seeking a qualified journalist with at least two years’ experience in the media, and who

  • has an active interest in online and social media
  • is also interested in how a small business operates and having a role in supporting its administration

This is not a classical PR executive role, as it involves some internal company support/administration work.  However, it could be an ideal stepping stone to a full-time PR executive role in the future.

Job description

To produce PR content and carry out internal support activities as necessary to assist the team in ensuring completion of PR contracts to a high standard.

Duties to include:

  • Writing press releases and other promotional materials
  • Monitoring press coverage
  • Planning, organising and co-ordinating tasks including media briefings, and visits to client premises/sites.
  • Maintaining the Outwrite website
  • Producing e-newsletters for clients and Outwrite itself

Support duties to include:

  • Implementing Outwrite’s own PR & marketing strategy
  • Producing client media coverage reports
  • Preparing internal reports
  • Sourcing content for and preparing presentations
  • Liaising with suppliers and tenants
  • Some reception/switchboard duties

Hours: 9am to 5pm Mon to Fri plus additional hours as required to meet business needs.

Skills required

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Interested in online communications and active in social media
  • An ability to multi-task and manage your time effectively
  • An ability to pay attention to detail
  • A good level of organisation and planning
  • An interest in all forms of media
  • Flexibility & an ability to work on own initiative
  • To be news aware

We offer

  • A starting salary circa £18,000 depending on experience, with opportunity to increase salary depending on performance, development of skills and taking on more responsibility
  • Part contributory pension scheme upon successful completion of probationary period
  • A friendly working environment in recently renovated offices close to Mold town centre

The successful candidate will need to have a car and a full, clean, driving licence.
