Cantata2 tourism survey offers luxury prize
The €2.2m Cantata initiative led by Denbighshire County Council, has returned to help businesses in Denbighshire increase sales and profits from tourism.
And a prize of one night’s dinner, bed and breakfast for two at a four-star venue in the county is up for grabs among participants in Cantata’s first initiative.
Cantata aims to capitalise on the growing trend among tourists to head off the beaten track and seek out quieter rural and coastal locations, and learn about different cultures and customs.
It embraces a wide range of businesses that have contact with visitors, including taxi and bus operators, corner shops and beauty salons, as well as hotels, guest houses and attraction operators.
To ensure that what is provided is driven by commercial needs, Cantata is launching with a market research survey.
The name of everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a free draw to win dinner, bed and breakfast for two at a four star venue in the county.
Already, leaders of Rhyl, Prestatyn, Denbigh, Corwen, Ruthin, Llangollen and Clwydian Country Business Groups have agreed to promote the survey to their members.
The survey can be filled in by visiting http://petermcdermott-cantata.blogspot.com.
“The questionnaire is quick to fill in. Some questions are multi-choice and others let you fill in your own answers, which will give plenty of valuable information. The four-star prize is a good incentive to take part!”
Peter McDermott said funding was already in place to act on the findings of the survey.
“We are again going to make sure that Cantata is driven by commercial needs. “In a competitive tourism market, we want to ensure that our tourism offering meets the ever-increasing expectations of the modern-day visitor. Cantata2 will help Denbighshire to raise its game and maximise its tourism potential.”
