Sue Ormesher, PR consultant After studying for a degree in media and communications from Sunderland University, Sue began her career as a trainee reporter on the Southport Visiter.

She later moved to the Crosby Herald during which time she achieved her National Council for the Training of Journalists certificate and was appointed chief reporter.

Sue progressed to the Daily Post in Liverpool in 1992, working as a senior journalist in news, business and features for five years – covering major stories of the day. She also worked as news editor on the Welsh Daily Post.

She switched to PR 13 years ago, working as a press officer at Knowsley Council, later becoming head of press and PR for national family charity Parentline Plus.

As well as providing PR and media training to a range of organisations – including small and medium-sized businesses and charities, Sue writes freelance features for the Liverpool Echo and a north west business magazine.

Sue first worked for Outwrite in the year 2000. Today, she provides strategic PR input and uses her journalistic skills for a range of Outwrite clients.

As Mum to three energetic children, Sue nevertheless enjoys cooking and has been a member of a book club for a number of years.
